Charities providing support for cancer patients and their loved ones
No one should face cancer alone. Support groups across the nation provide safe and supportive spaces for patients, survivors and caregivers to gather and share stories and resources. Many of them also raise much-needed funds to support cancer research. Some support groups are peer-led, some are facilitated by a counselor, social worker or religious leader, and others are sponsored by local hospitals or doctors. What they all have in common is a desire to alleviate stress and hopelessness and give a voice to those affected by cancer.
Cancer Support Network helps cancer support charities access both federal and state fundraising campaigns in the U.S. government's Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). We are the first local cancer support federation in the CFC.
